What is the ideal age to visit the dentist for the first time?

While this is one of the big questions for all new moms and dads, the answer is quite simple.
A first visit to our baby program before the baby is born or even two months after birth is always recommended.
The purpose of this prenatal visit is to be able to explain to parents what to expect to see in their baby's mouth and how to properly perform oral hygiene.
On the other hand, the visit at one year and at two years of age are very important, because, at two years of age, the children already have all their complete dentition.
These early visits are made with two objectives: Check the status of the first teeth to rule out any possible dental problem or growth of the jaws and get our little ones used to dental check-ups so that they lose their fear.
On the other hand, the second mandatory visit will be around the age of 6, because it is at this age that the first permanent molar emerges, which does not require any deciduous or milk tooth to fall out.
In this way it will be possible to evaluate the state of these new teeth and assess early action with preventive actions.
Of course, these are only the minimum appointments, and the semi-annual visit will never hurt to keep track of the child's growth as well as to educate him on his oral health.
